Mining
Magnetite Iron Ore is supplied to Evraz Highveld’s Iron Plant from its Mapochs open cast mine near Roossenekal, 140 kilometers north east from Witbank (Emalahleni).

Iron Making
The basic raw materials for iron making, i.e. iron ore, coal and fluxes, are sized to meet process requirements before being delivered to the iron plants.

Products of Steelmaking include billets, blooms, slabs and high grade vanadium slag.

Structural Mill
Profile products - universal columns, parallel flanged beams, channels, angles, rounds, and billets are rolled in Evraz Highveld’s universal structural mill, a semi - automatic combination installation.

Evraz Highveld Steel and Vanadium Limited is a vertically integrated steel and vanadium slag producer. We mine Titaniferous magnetite ore at our Mapochs Mine operation at Roossenekal, Limpopo and produce iron and steel products and vanadium-bearing slag at our Steelworks, based at our headquarters, at eMalahleni, Mpumalanga.
